AI Image Stirs Social Media Storm!
An AI-generated image, which portrayed a fictitious McDonald's "Baphomet burger," caused quite a stir on social media. This image, falsely claiming to be a new addition to McDonald’s Happy Meals, included a devilish toy, leading to widespread sharing and diverse reactions.
No Satanic Meals Here!
Contrary to the viral claims, it was confirmed that the image of the "Baphomet burger" was purely created for entertainment by a Facebook user and there is no such product at McDonald's. The fast food giant and their representatives from Australia and New Zealand reassured everyone through emails that no such item exists on their menus.
Outrage and Fear Over AI Creation
While many online treated the demonic-themed Happy Meal as a joke, others expressed genuine outrage and fear, believing it to be real. There were even alarming claims circulating that purchasing the meal could spiritually endanger children, suggesting they might become possessed.
Clarifications and Consequences
The creator of the AI image, known as LightHouse AI Studios, stated they had initially posted the image to a group dedicated to "cursed" AI images for fun. However, once it went viral, they chose to remove it to prevent the spread of misinformation. This action highlights the power and potential consequences of AI in generating realistic and sensitive content.
